In storage for over 40 years, the racing films on this DVD were shot primarily at Northeastern tracks like the newly paved Trenton Speedway (1957), and dirt tracks at Flemington, NJ and Langhorne, Allentown and Reading, PA. Two trips to Indy are also included.

The films were professionally transferred a few years ago. Offered here for the first time, the delay in bringing the DVD to market was the decision to spend hundreds of hours re-mastering the audio in Dolby Digital Stereo, a first as far as we know. The result is breath-taking. Watching 50 year old races as if you were right there at trackside!

No interviews, no commentary, no musical overdubs, no Hollywood effects. Just the sounds of racing cars occasionally mixed with the enthusiasm of the fans.

Over 80 drivers are identified on screen during the 18 races and two time trial events that include: NASCAR, USAC and MARC late models, USAC Indy cars, USAC and URC sprint cars, ARDC Midgets, and Modified Stock Cars. Running time is 88 minutes, and a complete list of the races and drivers is enclosed with the DVD.

So, turn up the volume.
